mwhahahahahah! I finally got a job! I did well enough in a computer class where you learn microsoft word, excel and powerpoint, that the instructor asked me to be a lab instructor. I get minimum wage, but I'll get to spend a lot of time at home grading!
Now the only problem is that I've never really done a teaching job before (Whoo this is gonna be interesting). But I just have to watch 2 classes, so it shouldn't be so bad. (I'm a bit excited about this so sorry if I come off a bit weird! )


Art wise... I'm stalling a bit. I'm trying to do some sketches at least to get back on track. I have something pretty cool that I did, so maybe it'll turn into a more finished piece. But I can't seem to get into it so much any more. I should go try to finish that other stuff I was working on.

I have a lot I can use as inspiration, but I'm having trouble drawing it. I hate it when that happens. >__< I wanted to draw that one picture from the intro of Elfen Lied with Lucy embracing that woman with the sideways head (I love that picture!!), but it always came out weird. It's annoying because it's not a complex drawing, but there are subtle little things I can't get right. so maybe I'll try it again later.

But I will start my classes next week, so maybe that film class will have me doing some drawing stuff. I think it's going to be a story class, so maybe it'll let me focus on Advancing into Darkness or Ajop some more.

if anyone has any bright ideas for my art block, I'd like to hear it. This has been the most serious one I've had! I can draw or color something for someone if they want.

ahem... so I moved into an apartment about a week ago with my bro. My sister helped us get in, so I'll have to pay her back along with my other sister who paid for the hotel stay. I'm really greatful for their help!!

It's so great to get my own room again; my brother snores freaking loud. Now we just have to get some jobs and we'll be good. I will be covered with some loans for college, but a part time job will be a nice backup for me. It's a severe pain to find one though. I've been trying to look, but nothing that seems flexible for college students is coming up. I'm gonna go talk to some career advisors at my school to see what they say.

And ohhhhhh! I have my own place now! I never lived on my own, so now I feel all special like! I'm a bit of a book worm, so I don't think I'll be going out or anything. I don't even like to drink alcohol (and beer just tastes gross to me). I know, I'm a NERD *cough*andacheapbastard*cough*! I think my brother will be trying to get me to go out though I don't like the stuff he likes at all!

I think summer school went well, (just waiting for my grade) and I even learned me some law stuff, but just minor stuff. You gotta know something to cover your ass in business.

As for art stuff... I actually haven't really drawn anything. I haven't been like this before, but maybe it'll come back to me. I just haven't really been in the mood. Maybe I just need to get settled some more. My next film and digital media class will hopefully get me interested again. I should try to work on 3d modeling in the mean time; I was working on something before all this junk happened.

But anyway, see yah!

hmmmm... They are really freaking cheap with those things! I did that stupid deal at gamestop (get 100 off if you give your ps2 and 3 games) and I feel like it wasn't worth it. Other than the bad service I got at gamestop (they were not very helpful and it took like 40 minutes for them to do everything!!), I got nothing cool with my ps3 and they can't even play ps2 games anymore. I could have paid 450 for a used one though if I wanted to it to play ps2 games(yeah right!). They even gave me the same type of cords as the ps2! The xbox 360 at least gave me some higher def ones and they even gave me a ethernet cord. I didn't really care about getting one, but my sister offered to pay half and my brother says how much cooler it is than the xbox 360. Even he was shocked at the few things I got for it. Shit, I could have got halo 3 and fable 2 with an elite xbox 360 at that price! The graphics are very nice on the PS3 though. There's one problem with me though, I'm not a graphics whore!

I'm hoping little big planet will satisfy me, though! I got resident evil 5 and call of duty: world at war, but those aren't really my type of games (my brother wanted them). I'll give them a try sometime later. Now I've got this huge backlog of games. I've got like 8 or 9 games to beat. Ugh... I should never have discovered cheapassgamer.com!

Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions. I'll try to be less demanding. I was expecting a little more though...

Art stuff:

hmmm... nothing really going on. I'm not feeling like drawing anymore. I think it's my brother. I hate it when people stand over my shoulder watching me draw and really hate it when they start telling me what I should be doing like I'm doing it all wrong. I mean I can take critiques, but not freaking insults and smart ass comments. He's all like, "you need to quit drawing Indian art" (huh?) or "I could draw better than you." And he just told me today I have no creativity. I could understand that with how I do some things (I do a lot of simple character sketches), but I think I've got some creativity. I made a comment about making levels in Little big planet and he's like "I'll tell ya, you have no creativity", and when I asked him what he said he was dead serious and was like "yeah, you've got no creativity." He's kinda negative, and I tend to absorb that stuff like a sponge. I'll get over it though, if I can just get somewhere to be alone and draw. And I'm sure some idea will come into my head. Maybe I'm just having an art block right now.

I seriously need to get a job this summer. I'm gonna do it this time!! My wallet's starting to attract moths.

Nothing interesting going on. Just started school and it should be easy this semester. The only crappy thing is I have to leave campus for hours and come back since I have such a huge break between some classes. It takes me 40ish minutes each way! I'll get some more exercise I guess.

If you care to know, I am taking: one programming class, a managerial accounting class, a class to teach you microsoft word, excel, and powerpoint (it's SOOO easy), a human geography class, and a intro psychology class. I should get into the business school after this semester. That's when the real work should start.

I managed to get a few nice things this black friday, online anyway (I didn't want to go out into that mess). I was planning on getting a laptop, but I decided to get something a little more fun. I ordered a 22" monitor, a camera, and a couple other minor things.

I'm really excited about the monitor. It's a samsung (I hope that's a good brand) and it will be under 200 after a rebate! It's supposed to be a gaming quality one, and it'll be a total upgrade from the 15" one I have now. I hope it'll improve my digital work too.

And the camera is a huge upgrade too. I got it on walmart for like 69.99 (it was a doorbuster )! I think it's a samsung too, but it's like 10.2 megapixels! The camera I have now is only 2 megapixels and is a battery eater!

Artwise: I am just coloring this: [link] and working slowly on Invoking Heaven (IH): [link] . I'm about halfway done with IH, and it looks pretty decent so far.
Also, I have stuff to do for that film and digital media class to do, but that class is kind of falling apart (he's not putting up the assignments!). I'll have to do some type of animation for the final project.
